Abstract

Facial emotion is a significant component of the non-verbal communication that humans rely on a lot. In the fields of interpersonal communication and human-machine interaction, human emotion recognition is crucial. Due to the significance and influence it has on how people interact with computers, there have been an increasing number of research about face emotion recognition over the past few years.

This paper suggests creating a chat programme that recognizes facial expressions using convolutional neural networks and adjusts the sender's chat bubble's colour to match their mood. It seeks to lessen the issue of miscommunication that results from chat being exclusively written communication and its lack of facial expressions, tone, and body language.
