Abstract

The rapid advancement of IoT frameworks presents exciting opportunities and challenges in today's technological landscape. These systems play a crucial role in various aspects of human life, including healthcare and transportation. However, the increasing reliance on IoT systems also brings forth significant security and privacy concerns, particularly concerning access management. The limitations of IoT devices further compound these challenges.

This paper proposes a novel Access Control design for IoT frameworks, leveraging a domain- based blockchain framework. The proposed system is designed to be lightweight by incorporating cache and blockchain concepts, and it is managed through a combination of centralized and decentralized administration approaches. A multi-stage implementation strategy is employed, accompanied by thorough evaluation and analysis, demonstrating the efficacy of blockchain technology in enhancing access control for IoT systems.
