Feature- Based GTCAD System Study and Practice

Abstract

Feature modeling is the key to CAD/CAM integration of mechanical products. Based on Pro/ENGINEER 2000i software and feature-oriented flexible coding, GTCAD can easily realize product feature design and retrieval functions. The example in this paper shows that the feature-based GTCAD system can make grouping technology adapt to the needs of CAD/CAM system integration and has broad development prospects.
